Peer Review Policy
Peer Review Policy
International Journal of Social Sciences and Business Research (IJSSBR) follows a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance and academic integrity of published research.
Double-Blind Peer Review
IJSSBR applies a double-blind peer-review system, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other during the review process. This approach is intended to promote fairness, impartiality and objective scholarly evaluation.
Initial Editorial Screening
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial assessment by the editorial team before being sent for external peer review.
✓ Academic and scholarly quality
✓ Originality of the manuscript
✓ Compliance with submission requirements
✓ Appropriate research structure and presentation
✓ Ethical and publication standards
Selection of Reviewers
Manuscripts considered suitable for peer review are assigned to qualified independent reviewers with appropriate subject expertise. Reviewer selection is based on academic competence, research experience, subject relevance and the absence of known conflicts of interest.
Review Criteria
Reviewers are requested to evaluate manuscripts according to appropriate scholarly and disciplinary standards, including:
Confidentiality
Manuscripts submitted for review are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not disclose, distribute, reproduce or use unpublished manuscript content for personal or professional advantage. Information obtained through peer review must remain confidential.
Conflict of Interest
Reviewers should decline an invitation to review where a personal, professional, institutional, financial or academic relationship could influence, or reasonably appear to influence, their objective assessment of the manuscript.
Reviewer Recommendations
✓ Accept subject to revisions
✓ Major revisions required
✓ Resubmit for further review
✓ Decline the manuscript
Reviewer recommendations support the editorial decision-making process but do not independently determine the final publication decision.
Revision Process
Where revisions are requested, authors are expected to carefully address reviewer and editorial comments and submit a revised manuscript together with an appropriate response to the comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers when additional evaluation is considered necessary.
Final Editorial Decision
The final decision regarding acceptance, revision or rejection rests with the journal's editorial team. Decisions are based on reviewer reports, academic merit, relevance to the journal, ethical considerations and compliance with publication standards.
Ethical Review and Research Integrity
If concerns regarding plagiarism, duplicate publication, data integrity, authorship, research ethics or other forms of publication misconduct arise during peer review, the editorial team may investigate the matter in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
Commitment to Quality Peer Review
IJSSBR is committed to maintaining a fair, confidential, constructive and academically rigorous peer-review process that supports high-quality scholarship across social sciences and business research.
