International Journal of Social Sciences and Business Research (IJSSBR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of originality, academic honesty and responsible scholarly publishing.

Policy Statement

IJSSBR does not tolerate plagiarism, unauthorized reproduction, misappropriation of ideas, or other forms of academic misconduct. Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts represent their own original scholarly work and that all sources are appropriately acknowledged and cited.

What Constitutes Plagiarism?

Self-Plagiarism and Text Recycling

Authors should not reuse substantial portions of their own previously published material without appropriate citation, acknowledgement or disclosure. Where previous work is relevant to a new manuscript, it should be clearly referenced and the new submission should provide a distinct scholarly contribution.

Similarity Screening

Submitted manuscripts may be screened using appropriate similarity-detection or plagiarism-checking tools before or during the editorial review process.

Similarity reports are interpreted editorially rather than solely on the basis of a numerical similarity score. Proper quotations, references, commonly used terminology and legitimate methodological descriptions may contribute to similarity and are considered in context.

Author Responsibilities

Plagiarism Identified Before Publication

If significant plagiarism or inappropriate text reuse is identified before publication, the editorial team may request clarification, require correction or revision, reject the manuscript, or discontinue the review process depending on the seriousness of the concern.

Plagiarism Identified After Publication

Allegations of plagiarism received after publication will be reviewed carefully by the editorial team.

Where misconduct is confirmed, IJSSBR may issue a correction, editorial notice, expression of concern, retraction or other appropriate post-publication action according to the seriousness of the case and applicable publication ethics procedures.

Duplicate and Redundant Publication

Authors must not submit or publish substantially the same research in more than one journal without appropriate disclosure and legitimate scholarly justification. Manuscripts found to represent duplicate or redundant publication may be rejected or subject to appropriate editorial action.

Review of Allegations

Allegations of plagiarism are assessed fairly and confidentially. Authors may be asked to provide an explanation, source documents or other relevant information before a final editorial decision is made. Decisions are based on the nature, extent and context of the identified overlap or misconduct.
