Refund Policy

TRANSPARENCY • FAIRNESS • AUTHOR SUPPORT

Refund Policy

International Journal of Social Sciences and Business Research (IJSSBR) maintains a transparent refund policy for any applicable publication-related payments while ensuring fairness to authors and the journal's editorial process.

General Refund Policy

Where an Article Processing Charge (APC), publication fee, printing fee or other applicable charge is collected, refund requests are considered according to the stage of manuscript processing and the circumstances of the payment. Payment of a fee does not guarantee acceptance or publication of a manuscript.

Refund Before Publication Processing

If a payment has been made but substantial publication services have not yet commenced, an author may submit a refund request. Such requests will be reviewed by the journal administration according to the circumstances of the case and any costs already incurred.

After Editorial or Production Services Begin

Once substantial editorial, production, typesetting, formatting, proofreading or other publication services have been completed, a full refund may not normally be available because resources and administrative costs have already been incurred.

Refund After Publication

Once an article has been formally published and the publication services associated with the payment have been completed, fees are generally considered non-refundable, except where the journal determines that a refund is justified because of an administrative or payment-processing error.

Rejected Manuscripts

Manuscript acceptance is based solely on editorial assessment, peer review, scholarly merit and compliance with journal policies. Where a fee has been paid in advance for a manuscript that is later rejected, refund eligibility will depend on the nature of the fee and the publication services already provided.

Author-Initiated Withdrawal

If an author voluntarily withdraws a manuscript after editorial, peer-review or production work has begun, any refund request will be assessed in accordance with the IJSSBR Withdrawal Policy and the amount of work already completed.

Duplicate or Incorrect Payment

If an author is charged more than once for the same transaction, pays an incorrect amount, or experiences a verified payment-processing error, the journal may arrange a refund or adjustment after the payment records have been reviewed and confirmed.

Non-Refundable Costs

✓ Completed publication and production services
✓ Printing or delivery costs already incurred
✓ Payment gateway or banking charges where non-recoverable
✓ Services specifically requested and already completed
✓ Other documented administrative costs already incurred

How to Request a Refund

Refund requests should be submitted to the journal administration with sufficient information to verify the transaction.

Please provide:

• Author's full name
• Manuscript title
• Manuscript or submission ID, where available
• Payment date and transaction details
• Proof of payment
• Reason for requesting the refund

Review of Refund Requests

Each refund request is reviewed on its individual circumstances. The journal may verify payment records, manuscript status and completed publication services before approving or declining a refund request. Authors will be informed of the outcome after the review has been completed.

Transparent and Fair Payment Practices

IJSSBR is committed to handling publication-related payments and refund requests fairly, transparently and consistently while maintaining the integrity of its scholarly publishing process.
