Withdrawal Policy
Withdrawal Policy
International Journal of Social Sciences and Business Research (IJSSBR) recognizes that authors may occasionally need to withdraw a manuscript. Withdrawal requests are handled carefully to protect the integrity of the editorial and publication process.
General Withdrawal Policy
Authors should submit manuscripts only when they are fully prepared to proceed with the editorial and peer-review process. A manuscript may be withdrawn only through a formal request submitted by the corresponding author. The request should clearly explain the reason for withdrawal and should reflect the agreement of all listed authors.
Withdrawal Before Peer Review
Authors may request withdrawal before the manuscript has entered the external peer-review process. The editorial office will review the request and confirm when the manuscript has been formally withdrawn from consideration.
Withdrawal During Peer Review
If peer review has already started, authors must provide a reasonable explanation for the withdrawal request. Because editorial staff and reviewers may already have invested substantial time in evaluating the manuscript, authors are expected to avoid unnecessary or repeated withdrawal requests.
Withdrawal After Acceptance
Withdrawal after formal acceptance should occur only in exceptional circumstances. Authors must provide a clear justification, and the editorial office may review the circumstances before confirming withdrawal. Authors should not submit an accepted manuscript to another journal until withdrawal has been formally confirmed by IJSSBR.
Withdrawal After Publication
Once an article has been formally published, it normally becomes part of the permanent scholarly record and is not treated as a routine manuscript withdrawal.
Serious concerns identified after publication, including research misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, major errors or ethical violations, will be handled through the journal's correction, retraction or other post-publication procedures as appropriate.
Duplicate or Simultaneous Submission
Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to IJSSBR and another journal. If simultaneous or duplicate submission is identified, the editorial office may discontinue consideration of the manuscript and take appropriate action in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
Author Responsibilities
✓ Provide the manuscript title and submission details.
✓ Clearly state the reason for withdrawal.
✓ Ensure that all co-authors agree with the withdrawal request.
✓ Wait for formal confirmation before submitting the manuscript elsewhere.
✓ Avoid unnecessary withdrawal after peer review or acceptance.
How to Request Withdrawal
A withdrawal request should be submitted to the editorial office by the corresponding author and should include:
• Manuscript title
• Submission or manuscript ID, where available
• Corresponding author's name
• Reason for withdrawal
• Confirmation that all co-authors agree with the request
Formal Confirmation
A manuscript should not be considered formally withdrawn until confirmation has been issued by the journal's editorial office. Authors are advised to retain this confirmation for their records before submitting the work to another publication.
Responsible Withdrawal of Manuscripts
IJSSBR aims to manage manuscript withdrawals fairly and transparently while respecting authors' legitimate concerns, reviewer contributions and the integrity of the scholarly publication process.
