Fee
The current Fee page of the International Journal of Management Research (IJMR) does not display any fee amount or payment details. The exact charges should therefore be inserted in the marked fields below before publishing this policy.
Article Processing Charge
The International Journal of Management Research (IJMR) is an open-access journal. To support the editorial, technical, production, hosting, preservation, and publication processes, an Article Processing Charge (APC) may be payable only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.
The applicable publication charges are:
- Authors from Pakistan: PKR [insert amount]
- International authors: USD [insert amount]
- Printed copy charges: Calculated separately upon request
- Additional courier or delivery charges: Where applicable
The journal should replace the bracketed amounts with its officially approved charges before publishing this page.
No Submission Fee
IJMR does not charge authors merely for submitting a manuscript.
Authors may submit their manuscripts for initial editorial screening without payment. Submission of a manuscript does not create a financial obligation and does not guarantee acceptance.
No Peer-Review Fee
Authors are not charged separately for obtaining a peer-review decision unless a specific service has been clearly requested and disclosed in advance.
The manuscript is assessed according to:
- Relevance to the journal’s aim and scope
- Originality and scholarly contribution
- Quality of research methodology
- Ethical compliance
- Clarity of presentation
- Recommendations of independent reviewers
Payment After Acceptance
Authors should make payment only after receiving an official acceptance or payment notification from the journal.
The journal will normally provide:
- Manuscript title
- Manuscript identification number
- Corresponding author’s name
- Approved publication charge
- Official payment instructions
- Payment deadline
- Contact information for financial queries
Payment must not be interpreted as confirmation of publication until all editorial and production requirements have been completed.
Services Covered by the Publication Fee
The Article Processing Charge may support the costs of:
- Initial editorial administration
- Manuscript management through Open Journal Systems
- Similarity and plagiarism screening
- Reviewer invitation and coordination
- Editorial assessment and communication
- Copyediting
- Language and formatting checks
- Reference verification
- Article layout and typesetting
- Proof preparation
- Metadata creation
- Online publication
- Website hosting and maintenance
- Digital preservation and archiving
- Indexing and discovery preparation
- DOI registration, where applicable
- Long-term access to published content
Payment of the fee does not transfer copyright ownership from the author to the journal.
Editorial Independence
Publication charges have no influence on:
- Initial editorial screening
- Reviewer selection
- Peer-review reports
- Revision requirements
- Acceptance or rejection
- Publication-ethics investigations
- Retraction or correction decisions
Editors and reviewers assess manuscripts independently of the authors’ financial status.
Payment of an Article Processing Charge does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
Fee Notification
The corresponding author will be informed of the applicable charge after the manuscript has been accepted or has reached the stage specified by the journal.
Authors should carefully verify:
- The amount requested
- Currency
- Payment deadline
- Official payment account
- Manuscript identification number
- Name of the authorized journal representative
Authors should request clarification before making payment when any information is incomplete or inconsistent.
Official Payment Channels
Payments should be made only through payment methods officially communicated by IJMR.
Authors should not transfer funds to:
- Personal accounts not identified by the journal
- Unauthorized agents
- Unverified third parties
- Informal payment links
- Accounts communicated through suspicious messages
IJMR will not be responsible for payments made to unauthorized persons or incorrect accounts.
Proof of Payment
After making payment, the corresponding author may be required to provide:
- Manuscript identification number
- Article title
- Author’s name
- Payment date
- Amount paid
- Transaction number
- Bank or payment receipt
- Name of the original payer
Authors should retain a copy of the payment record for future reference.
Bank and Transaction Charges
Any additional costs imposed by banks, payment gateways, currency-conversion services, or international transfer providers are normally the responsibility of the payer.
The journal must receive the full approved publication amount unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Possible additional costs may include:
- Bank-transfer charges
- International transaction fees
- Payment-gateway charges
- Currency-conversion differences
- Government taxes
- Withholding deductions
- Courier or postal charges
Waivers and Discounts
IJMR may consider full or partial fee waivers in exceptional circumstances, subject to journal approval and available resources.
Possible grounds may include:
- Authors from low-income countries
- Researchers without institutional funding
- Students or early-career researchers
- Financial hardship supported by reasonable evidence
- Invited scholarly contributions
- Special issues approved by the editorial office
- Manuscripts of significant public or academic value
A waiver request should preferably be submitted before payment and should not be included in the anonymized manuscript.
Approval of a waiver is not automatic and does not influence the academic evaluation of the manuscript.
Institutional and Funder Payments
Publication charges may be paid by:
- The corresponding author
- A co-author
- A university or research institution
- A research project
- A funding organization
- An employer
- Another authorized sponsor
The corresponding author remains responsible for ensuring that payment arrangements are completed within the specified period.
Withdrawal and Fee Liability
If an author withdraws a manuscript before substantial editorial or production work begins, the financial consequences will be considered according to the journal’s Withdrawal Policy and Refund Policy.
Once the manuscript has entered advanced processing, costs may have already been incurred for:
- Peer-review administration
- Editorial evaluation
- Copyediting
- Formatting
- Proof preparation
- Metadata processing
- DOI-related work
- Online publication preparation
Fees for completed services may be non-refundable.
Rejected Manuscripts
Authors should not be charged a publication fee for a manuscript that is rejected before acceptance when the charge has been described specifically as an Article Processing Charge payable upon acceptance.
Any separate service charge must be disclosed clearly before the service is provided.
Refunds
Refund requests will be handled under the journal’s Refund Policy.
A refund may be considered in circumstances such as:
- Duplicate payment
- Excess payment
- Payment made in error
- The journal’s inability to provide an agreed service
- Withdrawal before substantial processing begins
Publication fees are normally non-refundable after the article has been published.
Banking, payment-gateway, administrative, or currency-conversion charges may be deducted from an approved refund.
Printed Copies
The Article Processing Charge covers online publication and does not automatically include printed copies.
Authors, libraries, and institutions may request printed copies, subject to:
- Printing charges
- Binding costs
- Packaging costs
- Courier or postal charges
- Customs duties
- Availability of printed issues
Printed-copy arrangements are governed by the journal’s Paper Prints Policy.
No Hidden Charges
IJMR is committed to financial transparency. Authors should be informed in advance about all charges that apply to their manuscript.
The journal should not introduce undisclosed mandatory charges after payment or publication.
Optional services should be identified separately and should not be presented as compulsory publication requirements.
Failure to Pay
When a manuscript has been accepted and an applicable fee remains unpaid, publication processing may be paused until payment arrangements are completed.
Failure to pay does not permit the journal to alter the academic decision improperly. However, the article may not proceed to final production until applicable administrative requirements have been fulfilled.
Authors experiencing payment difficulties should contact the editorial office rather than ignoring journal correspondence.
Currency and Fee Changes
IJMR may revise publication charges because of changes in:
- Editorial and production costs
- Website hosting expenses
- DOI registration costs
- Archiving and preservation services
- Currency exchange rates
- Banking charges
- Printing expenses
- Institutional requirements
The fee applicable to a manuscript should normally be the amount officially communicated to the author during the relevant processing stage.
Any revised fee should be published clearly on the journal website.
Contact for Fee Queries
Questions about publication charges, payment methods, waivers, receipts, or refunds should be submitted through the official contact details available on the IJMR website.
Authors should mention:
- Manuscript title
- Manuscript identification number
- Corresponding author’s name
- Nature of the financial query
- Relevant payment evidence
Policy Review
IJMR may periodically review and update this Fee Policy to reflect changes in publication costs, financial procedures, open-access practices, banking requirements, and scholarly publishing standards.
