Archiving Policy

The International Journal of Management Research (IJMR) is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all scholarly content published by the journal. The journal maintains appropriate digital archiving procedures to ensure that published articles remain accessible to researchers, authors, institutions, and readers in the future.

Digital Preservation

IJMR operates through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) publishing platform. The journal preserves its published content, including article files, abstracts, author information, issue details, supplementary materials, and associated metadata.

Regular backups of the journal website, database, article files, and publication records are maintained to reduce the risk of data loss caused by technical failure, cyber incidents, server problems, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Backup Procedures

The journal’s digital preservation procedures include:

  • Regular backups of the OJS database and journal files
  • Preservation of published articles in their original formats
  • Maintenance of secure backup copies separate from the primary website
  • Periodic review of backup files to confirm their integrity and usability
  • Restoration procedures in case of accidental deletion, system failure, or data corruption

Long-Term Accessibility

IJMR aims to ensure that published scholarly content remains permanently available. If the journal website is temporarily unavailable, archived copies and backup files may be used to restore access to published articles and journal information.

If the journal ceases publication, reasonable measures will be taken to preserve the existing scholarly record and maintain access to previously published content through suitable digital repositories, institutional archives, or preservation services.

Format Preservation and Migration

The journal monitors changes in digital publishing formats and technologies. Where necessary, article files and metadata may be transferred or migrated to updated formats to maintain readability, accessibility, and compatibility with future systems.

Any format migration will preserve the original scholarly content and will not alter the academic meaning or published record of the article.

Author Self-Archiving

Authors are encouraged to preserve copies of their published articles in appropriate institutional repositories, personal academic websites, subject repositories, or other recognized scholarly archives, subject to the journal’s copyright and licensing conditions.

Authors should clearly identify the published version and provide complete citation details when depositing or sharing their articles.

Preservation of the Scholarly Record

The final published version of each article represents the official scholarly record of IJMR. Corrections, retractions, withdrawals, or updates will be managed according to the journal’s publication ethics and editorial policies. The original publication record and related notices will be preserved wherever academically and ethically appropriate.

Policy Review

This Archiving Policy may be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect developments in digital preservation practices, publishing technology, and scholarly communication standards.
