Open Access Policy

The International Journal of Management Research (IJMR) is a fully open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal. The journal is committed to making research in management, business, leadership, entrepreneurship, organizational studies, and related disciplines freely available to readers worldwide.

Immediate Open Access

All articles published in IJMR are made available online immediately after publication. Readers are not required to pay subscription fees, registration charges, or access fees to read, download, copy, print, search, or share published content.

IJMR does not apply an embargo period to published articles.

Purpose of Open Access

The journal follows an open-access publishing model to:

  • Increase the visibility and accessibility of scholarly research
  • Support the wider dissemination of management knowledge
  • Encourage international academic collaboration
  • Enable researchers, students, practitioners, policymakers, and institutions to access research without financial barriers
  • Increase the potential readership, citation, and impact of published articles

Open-Access Licence

Unless otherwise stated, articles published in IJMR are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).

Under this licence, users may read, download, copy, distribute, share, reproduce, translate, adapt, and build upon the published work in any medium or format, including for academic, educational, professional, and commercial purposes.

Such use is permitted provided that:

  • Appropriate credit is given to the original author or authors
  • The International Journal of Management Research is identified as the original source of publication
  • Complete citation details are provided
  • A reference to the applicable Creative Commons licence is included
  • Any changes made to the original work are clearly indicated
  • The content is not used in a misleading or academically unethical manner

Copyright Ownership

Authors retain the copyright of their published articles. By publishing with IJMR, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, archive, index, preserve, and make the article publicly available.

The journal does not require authors to transfer copyright ownership.

Reader Rights

Readers may freely:

  • Access the full text of published articles
  • Download and save article files

Third-Party Material

Third-party content included in an article, such as figures, tables, photographs, illustrations, questionnaires, datasets, and copyrighted extracts, may not automatically be covered by the article’s open-access licence.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce third-party material. Any content excluded from the Creative Commons licence should be clearly identified through an appropriate copyright notice or credit line.

Access and Preservation

IJMR takes reasonable measures to maintain the long-term availability of its published content. Article files, metadata, issue information, and related publication records are preserved through the journal’s digital archiving and backup procedures.

If the journal website becomes temporarily unavailable, backup copies may be used to restore access to the published scholarly record.

Publication Charges

Open access means that readers can access published articles without payment. Any publication or processing fee charged to authors, where applicable, is separate from reader access and should be clearly described in the journal’s Fee Policy.

Editorial decisions are based on academic quality, relevance, originality, and compliance with journal requirements, rather than an author’s ability to pay.

No Subscription Barriers

IJMR does not restrict access to its published scholarly content through subscription-only systems, institutional login requirements, or pay-per-view charges.

Policy Review

This Open Access Policy may be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect developments in open-access publishing, Creative Commons licensing, scholarly communication, and digital preservation practices.
